OBG's 6th Save of Christmas is Charlie, a reddish brown, 11-year-old spry cocker that came to OBG on December 10th. His owner could no longer afford to care for Charlie due to her own medical expenses. No one should have to decide between the care of a precious doggie family member and their own. Unfortunately Charlie's owner had to make that tough decision. Luckily OBG was able to welcome Charlie into the OBG family.
Charlie is blind in one eye and has a cataract in the other eye. He also has extensive skin issues. A little tidbit about Charlie - he doesn't like to go out in the rain; none of us do, Charlie! Charlie has been to see the eye specialist and before Christmas will have a procedure to eliminate pain and discomfort in the blind eye. And because of YOU, our generous supporters, Charlie will have cataract surgery in early January and will be ready to meet and "SEE" his new forever family!!
