OBG Alum Wins at 17th Annual McLean ReinDog Contest

We heard from OBG alum Carl's Mom that he won First Place in the medium dog category in the 17th annual McLean ReinDog Contest earlier this month!  Congratulations, Carl and Happy Howlidays to you and your family!

Carl's Mom sent us this note:

Carl, once named Bobo, became our forever dog in February 2009.  Earlier this month, Carl participated in the McLean ReinDog contest. Each entry was in costume and his/her owner was interviewed -- I proudly told the crowd that Carl had been the best gift I had ever gotten so that is why we decorated him as a holiday gift. I also talked about rescue dogs and highlighted Oldies but Goodies in particular.

Carl won because of his sweet personality, his continually wagging tail, and his heart-melting eyes. He thoroughly enjoyed meeting the other dogs and kids -- and had a great time at the event.

OBG was so helpful and thoughtful to assist us in finding the right dog for our home -- especially OBG volunteer Ann Byrd who was his foster parent. We are eternally grateful that you chose us to have Carl.

Best, Cathy & Bill C.
