Happy 17th Anniversary, OBG!

One of Our Favorite
Things About OBG
Happy 17th Anniversary, OBG!

When we talked about how to celebrate OBG's 17 years and the rescue of over 16,000 paws, we decided the best way would be to highlight 17 of our most favorite things about OBG!

We know you may have more favorite things about OBG so let us know!  We would love to hear from you.  Please share your favorite things by posting a comment at the end of this blog post.

In the mean time, we are going to start with Happy Tails! We love that OBG is able to bring families and rescued pups together to create forever families.  Enjoy this Happy Tail!

Skipper's Happy Tail - a note from his Mom

My husband and I adopted Skipper (then Simba) just about a year ago. While reflecting upon what a wonderful year it has been, we wanted to reach out and give a big thank you to your whole team for bringing Skip into our lives! He could not be a more perfect addition to our little family - we think he walks on water (and boy does he know it!).

Skipper was the missing link to our family that we didn’t even know was missing! He is the happiest, most loving dog we could have ever hoped to have. The smile on Skipper’s face isn’t just for the pictures; it’s a constant fixture that you can’t help but love. He wakes us up every morning by putting his cold little nose right on ours; it is literally impossible to wake up on the wrong side of the bed! When we first got Skip, our neighbor informed us that she really disliked dogs, and would appreciate if we respected her space when Skip was outside. Well, after just a few months, that same neighbor was dropping by to say hi to Skip and
take him on walks all by herself! He really is Mr. Congeniality! One of our favorite things about Skip is that he is always ready for our next adventure. He loves car rides, and will literally jump into any car with an open door (or trunk) whether it is ours or not. We have had so much fun with Skipper this past year, and cannot wait for more adventures in the many years to come!

You guys are an amazing organization, and we cannot thank you enough for enriching our lives with our very own wigglebutt! I have attached a few photos that I think capture how happy Skipper is, and how happy we are to have him.

  1. It must be the name, but my OBG alum, Skipper (formerly Cassanova) will also jump in to any available vehicle......including the UPS truck!
