Two are Better than One!

Do you have more than one dog?  I started out as a single dog house but quickly went from one to two and then three.  (I am holding at three at the moment!)  I can't tell you the joy I receive from seeing all the dogs together.

2012 has been the year of the "bonded pair" for OBG.  We have received many calls to help take in pairs of dogs -- often from families who can no longer care for or afford them.

Maybe you are thinking of adopting two dogs.  First adopting one, and then some time later, adopting another.  Have you considered adopting a bonded pair?  OBG volunteer, Donna, adopted a bonded pair from OBG in 2009 and tells us it was the best decision.  Having two dogs that are bonded is easier than one dog.  They like each other, like to spend time with each other, they have each other while you are gone and you get twice the snuggling.  Pictures speak more than words..

OBG has several wonderful pairs looking for homes right now.  Check out Jack & Jill, June & JR, Princess Bee & Kacey.  And we just accepted a pair of 10 year old brothers this past weekend.  Watch the Dogs Available page for JJ and Duke!

  1. I agree! We adopted our bonded pair six years ago. They snuggle up together, look for each other throughout the house, and are just such a delight. They really trust each other, and being together definitely helped them as they transitioned into our family. I highly recommend life with two!
