COSI with Canines Raises Funds for Midnight Sky's Eye Surgery

Mom, can I have a treat please!

Your OBG blogger is so late in reporting how much FUN was had at our annual COSI with Canines fundraiser on May 20th.  Our thanks to everyone who came out for this great afternoon of friends and fur-kids!  Special thanks to the COSI Crystal City staff, to Jen K. for leading the event, and to OBG's volunteer photographer extraordinaire, Richard Harrison, for the gorgeous photos.  Check out the photo album here

Even bigger than the fun that was had was the amount of money raised for Midnight Sky's cataract surgery -- over $1100.  Wow!

Midnight Sky is a very sweet and affectionate 3-year-old who was surrendered to a local shelter when his family could no longer care for him.  He had a cataract in his right eye that limited his ability to see.  Because of YOUR support, he was able to have the eye surgery this week.  It went very well and he is resting comfortably at his foster home.  He will be ready to meet his fur-ever family very soon!

Are you sure that's really a piece of hot dog?

The highlight of the afternoon was the famous hot dog bobbing contest -- a favorite of OBG fosters and alumni!

I got it, no problem!
