Cruising with Canines A Huge Success

It was the hottest day of the year but we had cool river breezes and the coolest cockers in town!  A great time was had by all!  In case you missed the fun, you can catch up with the party by checking out the 2012 Canine Cruise photo album.

Waiting on the Dock

Where's the boat?
Over 50 cruisers and 30 dogs came out for OBG's annual Cruising with Cockers summer cruise along the Potomac River.  This year we had a special monument tour cruise aboard the Matthew Hayes out of Old Town Alexandria.

Over $2000 was raised for newcomer, Jagger, who arrived to OBG with a broken femur and several other medical issues.  Thanks to everyone who supported this event!

Everyone had a chance to enjoy the great views, good fur-friends and their humans, and some cooling beverages and snacks.  The souvenir photos taken by OBG Board Member, Angela Robinson, were a big hit as always!
Yay, we're boarding the boat!

Special thanks to OBG volunteer, Richard Harrison, for taking such beautiful photos.  And if you have any photos you would like to add to the album, please send an email to obgcockerconnection@gmail.com.

Cool breezes were found here!
Debbie & Susan

Special thanks to our cruise directors, Susan Arango and Debbie Davenport.  This event is so special because of both of you!  And Susan, everyone loved your special cruising soundtrack.  Did you say it will be available at Target soon?!

Angela serving to our canines!

Thanks too to Unleashed by Petco of Falls Church, VA for donating several kinds of dog treats.  Our fur-kids loved every one of them!
We are so glad to be working with you.

Hope to see you again next year!
