OBG loves our honorary cockers...
We searched for a poodle to adopt through the Adopt-A-Pet internet program for a number of months before we saw a photo of an adorable 8-year-old toy apricot poodle named “Angel,” who had been rescued in December 2010 by OBG. Angel’s previous owner had passed away, and Angel was hoping to find a new family to love and rescue her.
We first saw Angel at a PetSmart OBG Adoption Event in April and got to meet her loving foster mom, Harriet. At the adoption show, Angel was scared to let her foster mom out of her sight, and we worried that Angel would have trouble adjusting if we adopted her.
On May 15th, we brought Angel home, and she could tell right away that this was going to be her forever home. She quickly filled our hearts with love and happiness!
|Angel & her parents.|
Angel has only 4 teeth left but she loves to grab and play with her new fluffy toy squirrel. Her new home has a neat deck where lots of real squirrels love to come and feed every day, and she has had great fun chasing a few of them around the deck. As Angel only weighs 9 pounds and is no larger than they are, the squirrels don’t take her very seriously and often look through the patio glass door begging for peanuts while Angel stares back! Angel loves to take lots of walks—and prances with joy around the cul-de-sac meeting and kissing the hands of all the neighbors she can.
Angel is full of love, patience, and happiness—she loves cuddling each night in bed with us on her special pillow at the head of the bed. Each morning she wakes up—stretches with delight, gives us tons of kisses, and enjoys lots of tummy rubs. We are so thrilled to have found such a sweet, loving, and adorable baby to love forever!! Rescue dogs are so loving and patient—we strongly recommend that everyone consider adopting one!!
Awwww...thanks so much! We are so happy that you found Angel!
