Happy Ending: Pitty Pat

Oh, just the sight of the poor thing — infected skin, eyes, and ears! Poor little Pitty Pat got her name because she was the epitome of pitiful. She was in such bad shape, we didn’t dare bring her to adoption shows. But hers is a success story we often see at OBG.

Pitty Pat, now known as Patty, was a stray that a good samaritan brought to OBG. It took two months of twice weekly bathing, a couple courses of ear and eye meds, and a good workup to find out what had caused her problems. Neglect turned out to be the culprit, and thanks to your donations and the devotion of our volunteers, Patty is now at home with her new family who loves her dearly.

Many of the dogs who come into rescue need some kind of “mending” — sometimes physical, sometimes emotional — and, because you continue to support us, we are able to help dogs like Patty find wonderful new homes and live the lives they deserve.

Stories like Patty’s bring tears of joy to our eyes; this is why I am involved with animal rescue. Patty’s is the kind of happy ending we want for all of our furry friends.

Thank you all for your support.
